Social Media Engagement Grows 10x With Targeted, Relevant Content!

In today’s health and wellness industry, social media is king. If you’re not providing quality content that viewers love via your Instagram, Facebook, and other social channels, you could be falling behind.

Whether it’s a day spa or any other type of business, social media is only one part of a complete marketing strategy. But there’s no question that it can yield significant results. Let’s take a closer look at how we helped generate more views and engagement for a local spa – by revitalizing their social media presence.

The Client:

Woodhouse Day Spa provides facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, body treatments, and rituals out of their local office in Buffalo, NY. Before your appointment, you’ll relax in the Quiet Room, where a selection of specialty loose-leaf teas begins your journey to relaxation. (These are also available after your appointment.) Woodhouse Day Spa also has a retail room full of all the best products for purchase.

The Challenge:

The health and wellness industry is incredibly competitive, so a robust social media presence is essential to staying top-of-mind and driving business. For Woodhouse Day Spa, a lack of likes and views, as well as low engagement, on their social pages negatively impacted their business.

To compound the challenge, this client was trying to run their own social media, but they couldn’t keep up with the volume of posting required to make a difference.

The Solution

Our mission? Grabbing their audience by the eyeballs! BARQAR’s digital marketing experts came up with a twofold solution to share relevant, engaging content more frequently:

  • Get more exposure for existing posts that were performing relatively well to maximize the effectiveness of what was already working.
  • Create engaging, relevant new content that would be favored by the company and its clientele.

BARQAR’s marketing team met with the client every Monday to review what would be pushed out that week. We discussed the prior week’s likes, views, and what performed best. Additionally, we visited the spa’s brick-and-mortar location to gather content, and the client sent us some of their own content they wanted to share.

Here are some examples of the types of content we created:

The Results:

  • Likes per post increased from around 10 to 50+ (some get up to 100+ likes).
  • Views increased from around 200 to 3,000 – 6,000!
  • More interaction on posts and pages (comments, direct messages, etc.).
  • Followers to the client’s social media pages increased.

Is social media really that important in the health and wellness industry?

Yes! When social content is relevant and engaging for today’s health and wellness audience, it can make all the difference for a business in this space. It’s a cost-effective way to increase engagement with your current followers, draw in new customers, and build your business with every post you make.
