Client Background and Challenge

Our client, Woodhouse Spa, is nestled in the heart of Williamsville on Main Street in Buffalo, New York. The thriving luxury spa specializes in rejuvenating body treatments, soothing massages, invigorating facials, and wellness rituals, creating a haven for relaxation and self-care.

In addition to offering personalized spa experiences, their boutique also showcases an array of luxurious products for sale. When reach and engagement waned on Instagram, Woodhouse Spa turned to their long-time partners at BARQAR to breathe new life into their social media presence.

The Goal: Get more eyes on their Instagram posts—and more clients into their luxury spa.

The Solution

BARQAR’s social branding team was confident a few simple steps would make a big impact on Woodhouse Spa’s reach and engagement—and we were right!

We recommended strengthening their Instagram strategy by:

  • Sharing authentic service visuals. Previously, Woodhouse Spa had been posting pictures of products and service options. BARQAR suggested they post more pictures of faces and videos of people enjoying luxury spa treatments, to help build a more authentic, relatable brand.
  • Collaborating with influencers. Woodhouse Spa combined forces with a wellness industry Instagram influencer to help grow their overall brand.
  • Creating more promotions. We created limited-time mid-week and pop-up specials to engage followers and inspire a little FOMO. (Our October 21st pop-up special got a lot of love on Instagram—and booked out the spa!)
  • Posting available treatment appointments. We posted last-minute openings on Woodhouse Spa’s Instagram stories to catch people’s attention and encourage them to return to Instagram to check for future openings.
  • Encouraging social sharing. Woodhouse Spa employees reposted spa promotions to their personal stories, increasing reach and engagement.
  • Engaging with their audience. We encouraged Woodhouse Spa to monitor and respond swiftly to Instagram’s direct messages and comments.


The Results
